چکیده

The phenomenon of bound state in the continuum (BIC) with infinite quality factor and lifetime has emerged recent years photonics as a new tool manipulating light-matter interactions. However, most investigated structures only support BIC resonances at very few discrete points w~k space. Even when is switched to quasi-BIC(QBIC) resonance through perturbation, its frequency will still be located within narrow spectral band close that original BIC, restricting their applications many fields where random or multiple input frequencies beyond are required. In this work, we demonstrate set QBIC can supported by making use special binary grating consisting two alternatingly aligned ridge arrays same period zero-approaching width difference on slab waveguide. These distributed continuously over broad along line space thus considered one-dimensional QBICs. With Q factors generally affected difference, it now possible choose arbitrarily any dispersion achieve significantly enhanced interactions, facilitating wavelengths required, e.g. sum generations nonlinear optics.

the search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame

this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...

Effect of substrate on optical bound states in the continuum in 1D photonic structures

Optical bound states in the continuum (BIC) are localized states with energy lying above the light line and having infinite lifetime. Any losses taking place in real systems result in transformation of the bound states into resonant states with finite lifetime. In this work, we analyze properties of BIC in CMOS-compatible one-dimensional photonic structure based on siliconon-insulator wafer at ...

this study investigates the cohesive devices used in the textbook of english for the students of psychology. the research questions and hypotheses in the present study are based on what frequency and distribution of grammatical and lexical cohesive devices are. then, to answer the questions all grammatical and lexical cohesive devices in reading comprehension passages from 6 units of 21units th...

Experimental observation of optical bound states in the continuum.

We present the experimental observation of bound states in the continuum. Our experiments are carried out in an optical waveguide array structure, where the bound state (guided mode) is decoupled from the continuum by virtue of symmetry only. We demonstrate that breaking the symmetry of the system couples this special bound state to continuum states, leading to radiative losses. These experimen...
